Sometimes when I get up early in the morning, I will pop on facebook to see if Zach happens to be on. The worst part of deployment is the lack of ability to communicate. Mail takes weeks to get overseas, and sometimes Zach is in a remote place and they just hold his mail at a base until he returns. Internet access is very limited. phone coverage is sketchy at best.
August is half over, so the days in the "stan" are dwindling down. Zach should be back in the US in September sometime, and then 3 weeks in Texas before coming home. I am looking forward to him coming from this...
