6.1.13 Black Hills vacation, day 4

On June 1st, we drove north to Belle to pick up Matthew Thomas.  We enjoyed visiting with Leah, Matthew's grandma Cindy, his cousin Olivia, and of course, meeting his beautiful new sister, Vivianne!
We stopped in Spearfish and drove through McDonald's for happy meals, for the hungry boys.
On our way south again, we drove along highway 385, and veered off on Rimrock highway to take in "Thunderhead Falls."  This was originally a gold mine claim, but the partners struck water instead of gold. We weren't there long, but it was a nice half hour out of the car, for the boys to walk around.
Waterfall outside, the best part!

Immediately upon arriving back at Palmer Gulch, we took Matthew to see the horses.

More inclusive resort fun...an inflatable bouncing/jumping pillow. Matthew in yellow shirt.
They also had this spray water park, and a pool.
Matthew, Grandpa Dan, Jump!

And uncle Joe.
Back to the cabin.  Here are the bunks, which Matthew and Joe thought were awesome!
And the kitchenette...cool digs!
Another fun activity that night after we ate, was watching a movie at their little theater.  There is a scheduled movie every evening.  you sit on wooden benches.  Popcorn is a dollar.
Dan wanted to do a campfire for the boys on the last night.

Boys on the deck...having a bedtime snack.
Ready for bed.
